Pathway to greenish of Hyrcanian mixed Forest: This Hyrcanin Forest Package (UNESCO world heritage ) is highly recommended to nature lovers because a variety of nature and beauty await you. The Hyrcani Forest Package includes the highlighted attractions in the east of Mazandaran Province besides the main attractions in Golestan Province the end of the Hyrcanian Mixed forest in Golestan national park.

Note > It is supposed that most of outbound flights land in early morning in Iran. The final itinerary will be booked based on your starting and ending travel dates.

Note > The official permission is needed for visit to Badab surt.

Note > The tour can be shortened or extended.

Note > The distances would take longer than real kilometers because of road mountainous conditions.

Note > It is also possible to first visit Bandar Torkaman and then Gorgan because it shortens the distances, this change can be applied based on your final plan.

Hyrcanian Forest Package itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tehran

You will be welcomed by PersiaTours agent as soon as you leave the customs gate and will be transferred to the booked accommodation place.

The city tour starts after a late wake up and breakfast around 11:00 or 12:00.

Today it is possible to visit inside Tehran city; also there is a chance to have one daily tour to a nearby place or city or preserved area.

Overnight Tehran

Day 2: Drive to Sari (279km)  

Very early morning drive toward Badab-e Surt salty fountain. The real reflection of colors can be seen at best times of sunshine and sunset. You will drive toward the city of Sari to have rest.

Day 3: Drive to Gorgan (127 km)

You continue your trip to Golestan Province and stop first in the capital, Gorgan. After lunch, you visit the old part of the city including Amir Latifi House, bazaar with unique structure, and Museum Palace.

Overnight: Gorgan  

Day 4: Gorgan excursion  

After a nice breakfast, you visit more of the city such as Naharkhoran Forest, Alang Dareh Forest, and Ziyarat Village.

Day 5: Drive to Bandar Torkaman (44km)

You will become familiar with another Iranian tribe which can be found just in this part of the country. Torkaman people are very kind, hospitable and brave with unique dressing style. They are good horse riders and is an inseparable part of their life. So here you experience staying in Turkmen Sahra tents enjoying traditional food and lifestyle. You can rent the horses for riding in beautiful scenery.

Day 6: Drive to Azadshahr (118 km)

Today’s tour is not just limited to one destination. First you go toward Bandar-e Torkman and visit Ashuradeh Island. Another side ride to Aq Qhala to visit its famous bridge and if you are lucky to spend time in its Thursdays’ bazaars.  You will rest in Azadshahr city.

Day 7: Gondab-e Qabus excursion

If you are interested in historical and cultural visits, there is a chance to visit UNESCO world heritage of Gonbad-e Qabus Tower as well as Chain wall of Gorgan.

Day 8: Drive to Khalid Nabi Cemetery (105 km, 2 hours driving) (optional)

Khalid Nabi Cemetery is located near Turkmenistan border, roughly 60 km northeast of Gonbad-e Qabus in the hills of Turkmen Sahra. The cemetery is located on the top of mountain 1 km far from the mausoleum of Khalid Nabi. Today’s tour needs trekking and is better to be done through summer when the scenery is like a paradise and passing the way is easier. You will long way to drive back to Azadshahr.

Day 7: Drive back to Tehran (536km)

You say goodbye to north and drive back to the capital or IKA international airport directly.
