The journey of Iran heritage description:

In this tour, it is tried again to keep the main highlighted attractions of the central part which are really worth visiting as well as the path to the UNESCO world heritage of Iran land. You will face a collection of UNESCO world heritage in the west, west south, and central parts of the country. Besides the culture, heritage, and art, you will experience in the Journey of East Iran in one package some natural places which are unbelievably beautiful. There is a great chance to take photographs during this tour.

Destinations: Tehran – Qazvin - Zanjan– Takab – Hamadan – Kermanshah – Shushtar - Ahvaz – Shiraz –Isfahan – Kashan – IKA International Airport  

Note  > It is supposed that most of outbound flights land in early morning in Iran. The final itinerary will be booked based on your starting and ending travel dates.

Note > There is the possibility to revise the package and split up into several parts, suitably matched to your travel lengths and interests.

Journey of Iran heritage itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tehran 

You will be welcomed by ITC agent as soon as you leave the customs gate and will be transferred to the booked accommodation place.

The city tour starts after a late wake up and breakfast around 11:00 or 12:00.

You will go to the central part of this big city passing through the National Archeological Museum, will visit some sections of Golestan Palace Compound covering the main highlighted ones such as Main Hall, Negarkhaneh, Emarat-e-badgir and Shamsol Emareh; following by one of the most precious and unique world museums: National Jewelry Museum (Just open from Saturdays to Tuesdays – 14:00 to 16:30).

Day 2: Tehran excursion

You tour starts around 9:00 a.m. by visiting the beautiful big Sa’adabad Palace in the north of Tehran. Continue to the 4th tallest Middle East Tower, Milad Tower and then enjoy the panoramic tour past the old Tehran Grand Bazaar.

Day 3: Drive to Qazvin (153km)

Say goodbye to Capital and start an excursion to Qazvin attractions such as Chehel Sotoun, bazaar, Nabi Mosque, Aminiha Hosseiniyeh and museum. Rest in Qazvin.

Day 4: Alamut Excursion

Today can be allocated completely to hiking and visiting Almaut Castle. You will definitely need early sleep and pack up for next destination.

Day 5: Drive to Zanjan (178 km)

En route, before you reach the city of Zanjan, you will stop for the UNESCO world heritage visit to Soltanieh (Soltaniyeh). Soltaniyeh is one of the examples of the achievements of Persian architecture and one of the main monuments in developing the Islamic architecture. Continue to the city.

Day 6: Drive Takab (199km)

After breakfast, you pack up for today’s drive to nearby small but marvelous city. Our targets are UNESCO world heritage of Takhte Solaiman and Solomon’s prison. They are located around 40 km before we reach to the city of Takab. Make your professional cameras ready to register the beauty of the place.

Day 7: Drive to Hamedan (246km)

Hamedan or Hamedān or Hamadan is believed to be among the oldest cities of Iran. Therefore, there are a lot to see. You will stop before you reach to the city and will experience one of the most amazing water caves in the world called Ali Sadr Cave. Also, you continue outside the city to Lelejin for the pottery and ceramic tour. Early night sleep at Hamedan hotel.

Day 8: Hamadan excursion

Today’s tour is to the UNESCO world heritage of Hemataneh or Ecbatana, Ganjnameh ancient art, Baba Tahir poet Mausoleum, and Tomb of Eater Mordekhay. Dinner at one of city restaurants.

Day 9: Drive to Kermanshah (189 km)

The tour continues to the next beautiful city, Kermanshah. Another visit to another UNESCO world heritage called Bisotun. Next visit is to Taq-e Bostan which is the remained series of large rock reliefs dates to Sassanid era. Do not forget to eat local Rib Kebab in Kermanshah and register it as one of the best meals in your minds

Day 10: Drive to Shushtar (432km)

En route, you will pass some small cities and towns but the main target to  stop is UNESCO world heritage of Choqa Zanbil Ziggurat. Rest in Shushtar.

Day 11: Drive to Ahvaz (96km)

Before going to Ahvaz, you will first visit the UNESCO world heritage of Shushtar called Historical Hydraulic System. You will continue to Ahvaz and have short walk besides Karunn Lake. You will have early sleep because tomorrow you start from very early morning.

Day 12: Drive to Shiraz (537km)

Except Kazeroun and surroundings, there is not very highlighted attractions. You can decide on spot to visit the attractions or not but based on the weather condition and your interest, Bishapur ancient city remained from Sassanid era is worth visiting. Rest at Shiraz hotel.

Day 13: Shiraz excursion

Experience the excellence of Nasir-ol- molk Mosque (Pink Mosque), Narenjestan Traditional House, Zinat ol Molk House in the morning and after lunch you continue this sophisticated itinerary with Arg of Karim Khan (Arg-e karim Khan). You wander through nearby streets and taste one of the city’s especial delights; Falooda.

Have a romantic ending of the day to the tomb of Persian poet Hafiz (Hafez).

Day 14: Shiraz excursion

Continue with the rich majestic Vakil Bazaar and Saraye Moshir and UNESCO World heritage of Persepolis (the order of the visits can be opposite as well) as well as Necropolis.

Day 15: Drive to Isfahan (482km)

Say goodbye to the city of art and literature and continue to visit the remained amazing attractions ahead. By just less than two-hours’ drive, we stop in the UNESCO world heritage of Pasargadae. Also Continue to the city of Isfahan.

In the evening, take a walk through Isfahan romantic bridges and listen to music.

Day 16: Isfahan excursion

Today you will be wondered by the originality of Naqshe Jahan Square as the UNESCO world heritage and distinctive culture and architecture throughout the Imam and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosques around the square. Continue full day city tour with Ali Qapu Palace, Chehel Sotoun Palace and great grand Bazaar around the square. At the end of Isfahan city tour, you experience the night walking to the romantic bridges of Isfahan again if you like.

Day 17: Drive to Kashan (215 km)

You visit Jame Mosque and Vank Cathedral and continue to the city of Kashan before lunch.

In Kashan, you will visit some nice old houses dates back to 250 years ago such as Tabatabaei house, Borujerdiha House, Fin Garden and Sialk Hill.

Day 18: Transfer to IKA international Airport

You will be driven to IKA airport (207km). If you still have time for more excursion, the tour will be extended.
